WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night One Predictions

The Biggest Party of the Summer is knocking at our doorstep. For close to 30 years, WWE SummerSlam has been a staple of WWE’s summer schedule, and this year is proving to be one of the best in WWE history.

This weekend marks the first time that SummerSlam has been split into two nights. Both nights have a ton of promise, but for now, we will be focusing on night one.

It is a night that will see stars, young and old, vying for their chance at glory. A night that will have no problem competing with its Sunday counterpart for the best card of the weekend. But the biggest question of all is who will walk away victorious.

Who will be standing on top of the mountain when SummerSlam night one concludes? Let’s take a crack at predicting the winners.

WWE SummerSlam 2025 Predictions

Sami Zayn vs Karrion Kross

This is the feud that just keeps going. It hasn’t been terrible by any stretch of the imagination, but there isn’t much of a reason for this to continue. Both men are meant for bigger things, and this feels like a program that has gone too long.

Considering everything that has been said, there is no reason to think that Sami Zayn and Karrion Kross will not put on an entertaining match. When they have stepped into the ring in the past, they have produced fun matches, and hopefully that trend can continue.

Sami has been at an advantage for most of this feud, and for that reason, he should be winning this match. He is the perfect title contender for anyone coming out of SummerSlam. This win should put him there.

Winner: Sami Zayn

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez vs Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

WWE has done the impossible, in that Charlotte Flair is actually getting some great babyface reactions. She has been the perennial heel, and it looked like she would never break through that door, no matter how hard the company tried. Pairing her with Alexa Bliss has been a godsend; they have great chemistry, and their backstage segments have been fun.

Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez have been equally as great, working a HBK and Diesel-type of partnership. They have been admirable tag team champions, but in order for their story to move to the next chapter, they have to drop the tag team championships. It would also be smart to put the straps on the veteran duo and bring a larger spotlight to the Women’s Tag Titles.

Winners: Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair

Randy Orton & Jelly Roll vs Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul

Jelly Roll has been a pleasant surprise in WWE. He understands professional wrestling and has adapted quickly to WWE. You can tell that he is a fan of the product, and it will be very interesting to see how he works in the ring.

He will be backed up by three great wrestlers who do not shy away from the spotlight. If booked properly, this match could be a pleasant surprise, and it will at the very least be something you need to watch.

We can go back and forth with who should and who will be winning this match. Both teams could use the win here, but if WWE has any further plans with Jelly Roll, then he and Orton should get the win. It would put a ton of momentum behind Mr. Roll and maybe lead to a singles match down the line?

Winners: Randy Orton & Jelly Roll

Roman Reigns & Jey Uso vs Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed

Oh, what could have been. This contest was a replacement for the rumoured Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. A wrench was thrown in the plans for WWE, but this is a great pivot, and they have done great with the limited weeks they had.

Roman Reigns has done a fabulous job of selling for the two young monsters. He and Uso have natural chemistry, and all four men can string together great spots. This will be a physical match for everyone to enjoy.

Most other predictions have Roman Reigns and Jey Uso walking away the winners, but it should go more towards Breakker and Reed. With Seth Rollins out, they are forced to do the heavy lifting on the heel side of Raw. They need to be produced like an unstoppable unit, and a loss here would do wonders for their perception from the audience.

Winners: Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker

WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill

It was only a matter of time before Jade Cargill was given her shot at a World Championship. Since she debuted in WWE, she has presented like a star, and they are not giving her the push that we’ve been waiting for. Has it come too soon though?

There is no doubt Cargill will be the face of the women’s division, but she still has a lot of developing to do. We have all seen the flashes of greatness, but it may take some time.

On the other end, Tiffany Stratton has had a fun reign as WWE Women’s Champion, but there haven’t been a ton of highlights. She has had fun matches, but no programs that would jump off the page.

This one fits into that category as well. It will be a fun match of power versus speed and will see a new champion emerge.

Jade Cargill is the champion in waiting. It’s the World Championship of bust for her, and with all WWE has invested in her, SummerSlam is the time to pull the trigger.

Winner: Jade Cargill

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther vs CM Punk

Gunther being the World Heavyweight Champion will always be a great idea. He has the gravitas necessary to be the title holder, and there might not be any better in the ring.

His is an old school style of working, but one that fits well into today’s professional wrestling. He gives a sense of realism to everything he does.

Standing across the ring from CM Punk, Gunther will no doubt go all out. As well, CM Punk will be more than up to the task of putting on a banger.

These men match up well and are very adept at telling stories in the ring. This will be what this match leans on as it goes on.

If WWE has any inkling to put the World Heavyweight Championship on CM Punk, then the time is now. There is no telling how much longer he will be able to compete at a top level, and he hasn’t won a title since his return. It’s World Championship or bust for CM Punk.

He said it best that he doesn’t want the title; he needs it. SummerSlam night one needs to end with Punk celebrating with the World Heavyweight Championship.

Winner: CM Punk
