WWE Unreal Series Premiere Date Announced

Netflix today released an official first look photo for season one of WWE Unreal, which will officially premiere on Netflix on July 29. The date coincides with the first-ever two-night SummerSlam PLE inside the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey the following weekend. As announced by Netflix two months ago, the new TV series will go behind the scenes and reveal what happens inside the WWE Creative Room.

WWE: Unreal will be a 5-episode series, each episode lasting 50 minutes. According to Netflix, the synopsis for WWE: Unreal is as follows: “For the first time, step into the WWE writer’s room and outside the ring with your favorite WWE Superstars, where the drama is just as intense offstage as it is under the spotlight.”

The WWE: Unreal series pulls the curtain back on WWE and follows Triple H and others in the WWE writers’ room as they work to produce 52 weeks of television a year across multiple platforms and for various business partners.

The series is expected to offer a unique blend of real-time storytelling, character development, and internal creative tension, providing fans with new insight into how some of the company’s biggest moments are created.

The announcement further cements the deepening partnership between WWE and Netflix, which officially began in January 2025 when Monday Night Raw moved exclusively to the streaming giant in the U.S. and several international markets.

In addition to Raw, the multi-year agreement includes international distribution rights for SmackDown, NXT, and all premium live events, including Night of Champions this weekend, making Netflix the new home of WWE for millions of fans worldwide.
