Major League Wrestling (MLW) announced on Sunday, May 18, that the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Championship will be defended in Japan for the first time in history. The reigning champion “Big Kaiju” Shoko Nakajima puts the title on the line against rising star Kaya Toribami at the upcoming Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (TJPW) event on June 7 at Kitazawa Town Hall.
This landmark championship bout marks the first time the promotion’s women’s title will be contested in Japan and underscores Major League Wrestling’s growing global alliance with top organizations such as TJPW.
