Major Title Change at TNA Rebellion

Yesterday at TNA Rebellion, Ryan and Nic Nemeth defeated Jeff and Matt Hardy to become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions.

This marks Nic and Ryan’s first reign with the TNA World Tag Team Championship.

With a chair and a referee’s bump involved, we can’t say that it was a fair win. We can expect to hear from The Hardys on TNA iMPACT! this Thursday, live at 10 PM EST. We can also hope to hear the 3 letters that have made The Hardys’ legend, TLC, if a rematch is set.

Despite The Hardys being the rightful champions, Nic and Ryan entered the match with the titles after stealing them from The Hardy Compound this past Thursday.

Ryan countered a Twist of Fate from Matt before Nic hung him up on the top rope. The Nemeths cut off the ring and wore Matt down with tandem offense. Matt found a window of opportunity and tagged in Jeff. The pace quickened as Jeff went on the attack, dropping an elbow on Nic. Jeff caught Nic with the Whisper in the Wind for two.

The Hardys had Nic beat with the Plot Twist, but Ryan made the save. Nic turned the tide with a Famouser to Jeff. Matt accidentally got in the referee’s path while Jeff was pinning Nic. Ryan prevented Jeff from hitting the Swanton Bomb. Matt introduced a steel chair, but Ryan used it against him. Nic nutcracked (low blow in Nygma’s language) Jeff while the referee was distracted. Nic put Jeff away with Danger Zone as Ryan scored the pin to win.

Meanwhile, Trick Williams made a shock appearance at TNA Rebellion.
