WWE Raw on Netflix: Everything We Know So Far

The debut of WWE Raw on Netflix is arguably the biggest thing that has happened to both companies in a long time.

WWE Raw has been airing on weekly TV since January 11, 1993. All that changes when it moves to the streaming platform Netflix on January 6, 2025. This will mark Netflix’s first move into broadcasting weekly live programming.

A WWE Raw on Netflix Kickoff show today – December 18, 2024 – confirmed the main event, which stars will appear, a new WWE Raw roster member, and gave us a look at the fancy new graphics.

Here’s everything we know so far about the debut edition of WWE Raw on Netflix.

New Look And Sound on Netflix

Paul “Triple H” Levesque revealed the new logo for WWE Raw, this week. The logo smoothly transitions into the Netflix logo making for a good cohesion between the two brands.

Travis Scott will be providing the new theme song for WWE and will be appearing on the January 6 WWE Raw.

WWE also started launching vignettes for each of its superstars incorporating the new WWE Raw on Netflix graphics. This tells us that WWE will spend a portion of the debut show introducing its talent to the audience.

WWE took a similar approach during its Saturday Night’s Main Event broadcast on NBC, last weekend. The show reportedly was watched by more than 2.3 Million viewers, according to Variety. WWE Raw averages about 1.5M viewers a week so it makes sense for WWE to cater for lapsed or new fans viewing the show.

As Netflix has 283M paid subscribers worldwide it will want to make sure any new viewers can understand who the major players are straight away.

WWE Raw on Netflix: Confirmed Talent On Match Card

The current match card is designed perfectly for this.

Rhea Ripley will challenge Liv Morgan for the World Women’s Championship. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins is a match 10 years in the making that will also feature on the show.

Logan Paul was revealed as the newest member of the WWE Raw roster on the kickoff show and will appear at the inaugural show on Netflix. Paul claimed he was coming for the top champion on WWE Raw Gunther.

But Gunther claimed Paul hadn’t proven he was worthy of a shot at his World Heavyweight Championship. Gunther added he would happily smack the smirk from Paul’s face.

Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and John Cena are all slated to appear on the premiere WWE Raw on Netflix.

But it’s the WWE Raw on Netflix main event that will introduce people to the biggest storyline in WWE. Interestingly, it features two stars signed to the WWE SmackDown brand.

Tribal Combat To Main Event WWE Raw on Netflix

The Bloodline storyline has gripped WWE fans for years now.

Initially documenting Roman Reigns’ rise as a power-hungry dictator over his family members Jimmy and Jey Uso and his 1,316-day reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion. The Rock showed up which led many to question who really was the “Tribal Chief”.

Reigns’ WrestleMania 40 loss to Cody Rhodes led to Solo Sikoa attacking him. Sikoa has brought through more family members to back him up.

On WWE Raw on Netflix, Reigns faces Sikoa in Tribal Combat with the precious ulu fala on the line.

Having this match on the show will allow WWE to refresh current fans, and inform new viewers of arguably its greatest storyline. It also provides the perfect option for household name Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to make an appearance.
