AEW Collision Preview 11/04/23 – Acclaimed Celebration

AEW Collision Preview 11/4: Acclaimed Header

It’s Saturday night and Elton John insists those are alright for fighting. AEW Collision stops at the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas tonight for 2 hours of action on TNT. This venue has hosted pro wrestling since 2010, when it first opened its doors. WWE stopped at the arena twice in it’s inaugural year. The second being for an episode of Monday Night Raw on October 4th, 2010. The day after their Hell In A Cell pay-per-view event Wade Barrett defeated John Cena with unexpected aid from Husky Harris, the future Bray Wyatt. As well as Michael McGuillicutty, the future Curtis Axel. Due to the stipulations of the match, John Cena’s loss meant he would have to join The Nexus. Also on this episode of Raw something rather major happened. As Edge was constantly having issues with Raw’s ‘anonymous general manager’. He was excluded from a 20-man battle royal to pick a challenger to Randy Orton’s WWE Championship and was traded to SmackDown. This occurrence marked the first time since 2004 that Edge would be a babyface. A massive 6-year gap for the now WWE Hall Of Famer. Who has since had difficulty going back to the heel role that made him stand out. Let’s preview this episode of AEW Collision

AEW Collision: 11/4/2023: Card and Preview

69 Day Celebration

In one hell of a coincidence, the fun-loving Acclaimed and ‘Daddy Ass’ Billy Gunn are set to celebrate their 69th day as AEW World Trios Champions. Double entendres are set to ensue. It’s also been an interesting week for the Trios champions as ‘Platinum’ Max Caster’s struggles to let AEW World Champion MJF that he has a friend in him have seemed to finally pay off at the conclusion of Dynamite this week. Caster shoved MJF away from a belt shot from #1 Contender ‘Switchblade’ Jay White. MJF clearly appreciated the sacrifice. And after a scolding from ‘Daddy Ass’, a 4-way scissoring ensued in the ring to celebrate as the two Create-A-Pro students finally came together. Let’s see what’s in store for this celebration. Will Bullet Club Gold let the involvement of The Acclaimed in their affairs go unpunished?

Oh Yeah, AR Fox

It seems poor AR Fox really suffered big for not letting AEW know on time he had no passport. Being cut off from All In but more importantly, completely being eliminated from The Mogul Embassy. The man seemed to be hotter than ever being Swerve Strickland’s right-hand man. But alas. After being betrayed by Swerve and The Mogul Embassy the week before All In, AR Fox finally gets a chance at revenge when he faces his former superior. Two months later. Can he prevail? Or will Swerve march on to his rematch with ‘Hangman’ Adam Page at Full Gear with no trouble?

David vs Goliath

Darby Allin is set to team with Sting and ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Adam Copeland at Full Gear to face the TNT Champion and AEW’s own personal ‘Patriarch’ Christian Cage and his two “sons” Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus. But first, he has a literally big test against Lance Archer. The former multi-time IWGP United States Champion is back again to take on the former TNT Champion. As Darby says: “You can kill me, but I won’t die.” And, given how the man seems to constantly put his body in danger not just in the ring, but also doing stunts outside only to continue performing a peak level….. Hard to doubt him. Can Lance Archer finally find some consistent ground on AEW TV? Or will Darby keep it strong en route to the Trios match at Full Gear?

All that plus, Willow Nightingale vs Emi Sakura and more as we continue on the road to Full Gear in 2 weeks tonight on TNT.
