AEW Double or Nothing News

Owen Hart Foundation Tournament

The Owen Hart Men’s and Women’s Tournament will kick off Forbidden Door weekend and will wrap up at the AEW Calgary episode of Dynamite. The news was broken by Dr.Martha Hart on the Buy-In for Double or Nothing.

Toni Storm Defeats Jamie Hayter

The Outcasts started the match with an all-out assault on Jamie Hayter. Once the match did begin, the interference continued and the injured arm of Hayter was heavily targeted. Hayter put up a good fight and had assistance from Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida, but in the end, the numbers game got the best of Hayter.

A Shocking Return

Following Jade Cargill’s victory over Taya Valkyrie, Mark Sterling took to the microphone and claimed that there were no challengers left for Cargill. That was when Kris Statlander made her return and defeated Cargill in an impromptu match.

Konosuke Takeshita Aligns with the Blackpool Combat Club

The second half of the double main event saw The Elite take on The Blackpool Combat Club in an Anarchy in the Arena match. Just as things were looking bleak for the BCC, Konosuke Takeshita shocked the crowd and came to the assist of the BCC. This ultimately helped them get the win over The Elite, ending Double or Nothing on a swerve.
