Proving Grounds Match: ROH Women’s Championship

The proving grounds match makes its return to ROH on this week’s television card. ROH Women’s Champion Athena will step into the ring against Hyan. Athena had an impressive victory last week over a very competitive Willow Nightingale. Hyan will prove to be another tough challenge for the current champion.

Hyan has stepped into an ROH ring before. Under the previous iteration of ROH, she competed on Women’s Division Wednesday on numerous occasions. She teamed with Laynie Luck on the first edition of the show against Max the Impaler and Rok-C in a match that went to a time-limit draw. She also competed against Max the Impaler in singles action on a later edition of the show.

The experience edge goes to Athena but Hyan has had experience in promotions such as IMPACT, AAW, AEW, and SHIMMER, among others. Don’t count Hyan out in this proving grounds matchup.

Proving Grounds Match: ROH World Championship

Continuing with the proving grounds theme of the episode, Claudio Castagnoli will step into the ring against Willie Mack. Claudio is coming off a successful defense over AR Fox on the first episode of Ring of Honor television.

He steps into the ring against Willie Mack who has a unique blend of strength and speed. Although Mack brings a lot of strength with him to the ring he is also extremely agile. He can hit moves such as standing moonsaults, and his high-flying ability mixed with his strength makes him a threat anytime he is in the ring.

Mack is a former X-Division Champion in IMPACT Wrestling, which demonstrated his strength and speed abilities.

This match should be an exciting one as both competitors are deceptively agile for their size. Claudio may be the champion, but Mack is not one to look past and will give Claudio a tough matchup.

Ring of Honor World Six-Man Championship Match

The Embassy will defend the ROH World Six-Man Championship against former champions Dalton Castle and The Boys. The former two-time champs are looking to win the belts back this week on Ring of Honor TV. Both teams were victorious in their first outings in the new Ring of Honor.

Castle and The Boys came out with a win over Cody ChhunGuillermo Rosas, and Marcus Kross. The Embassy on the other hand picked up a win over Joe KeysLSG, and Rex Lawless in an impressive fashion. The current champs have been on a roll and have looked dominant in their matches. You can’t count out Castle and The Boys though. They are two-time champions for a reason and the mix of strength and agility between the three of them always makes them dangerous.

Find out who comes out victorious this week on Ring of Honor television this Wednesday on Honor Club.
