Stardom’s Himeka Announces Retirement

Stardom competitor Himeka has announced her intentions to retire from pro wrestling in April when Stardom runs at the Yokohama Arena. Her retirement ceremony will take place in full on May 14 at Korakuen Hall with her final match taking place a few weeks beforehand at Yokohama.

Himeka Announces Retirement

Himeka debuted as Himeka Arita for Actwres girl’Z in 2017. She gained some momentum while teaming with Miyuki Takase as a team called Beginning. The duo competed in AWG and across the Joshi scene, even capturing the Beyond the Sea Tag Team Championship in SEAdLINNNG.

Himeka left Actwres girl’Z in 2020 and after a few months away from wrestling made her Stardom debut at Stardom is Again!, the company’s first show since shutting down due to COVID restrictions. Himeka dropped her previously used surname and joined Donna Del Mondo, quickly becoming an integral part of the faction during one of its most dominant runs.

During her stint in Stardom, the Jumbo Princess has won both the Goddess of Stardom and Artist of Stardom titles, she was also a finalist in the 5STAR Grand Prix, losing out to Utami Hayashishita in 2020.

As part of her retirement road Himeka has requested a match with Kakaeru Sekiguchi, formerly of Actwres girl’Z, a hardcore match with Risa Sera, a retirement match with tag team partner Maika at the Yokohama Arena, and a singles match with Chihiro Hashimoto.
