Mickie James has been on her Last Rodeo tour since the latter part of 2021. She promised the next match she lost would be her last one. This turned into an impressive winning streak for James and put her in line for this title shot.
It was no easy win as the strength and agility of Jordynne Grace were on display. James nearly tapped out and passed out to a rear naked choke as Grace had her locked in the submission for a long period towards the end of the match. James pulled through and got the win with her family and former IMPACT Knockout Tara at ringside.
The Last Rodeo concluded tonight as Mickie James will not leave professional wrestling following her next loss. She put an immense amount of pressure on herself but it paid off as she walked out of Hard to Kill as Knockouts Champion. She already knows her next opponent as Masha Slamovich won a four-way earlier in the night to be crowned the number one contender for the Knockouts Championship.
