Darby Makes His First Defense

Darby Allin won the TNT Championship for the second time in an epic rematch against Samoa Joe, defeating him in front of a sold-out hometown crowd and giving the now-former King Of Television his first loss in AEW. On Dynamite, Juice Robinson and laid out the challenge, thus giving us the first title defense for Darby.

Juice Robinson was last seen losing to Samoa Joe at ROH’s Final Battle, failing to with the ROH World Television Championship. Now he tries to go after the other title Samoa Joe held during his stint as the self-proclaimed King Of Television. While the result of the match may not exactly be in much question, now we get a major test to see if Darby Allin can replicate the impressive magic of his reign. In the quality of his matches and in the ratings as well.

The Streets vs The Occult

The House Of Black have been targeting Ortiz and Eddie Kingston for weeks now and have been playing mind-games with the Latino duo. This has seemingly led to Ortiz doubting Kingston’s mindset and of course, per usual, Eddie not being too pleased about it. Can the two former LAX alumni put their heads together to get the win over the House Of Black?

Friday Night Street Fight

The women clash in another big tag team match this week. Although it’s a street fight this time as the ever lovable Willow Nightingale sides with Ruby Soho to assist her in her feud with Tay Melo, who on her own end, has had the aid of her stablemate and best friend, Anna Jay A.S. This time, they actually team up. We’ve seen impressive tag team street fights from the women before on Rampage. A year and two weeks ago, we saw Anna Jay and Tay Melo have a very impressive one against The Bunny and Penelope Ford. So, between the timing and the pairing, it’s pretty clear that AEW looks to recreate that magic. Let’s see if they can stick the landing.

Hey, That’s Stingray!!

Fresh off winning a Golden Globe, Paul Walter Hauser appeared on Dynamite. After some odd questions from Danhausen, the TV and film star explained he would be showing off his newly won Goldel Globe on Rampage.

If you don’t know who Paul Walter Hauser is, he’s appeared in various films and TV roles as a supporting cast member. However, he is probably most recognized as Stingray from the hit Netflix series, Cobra Kai. Fittingly enough, on the latest season, he appeares singing a tune as it blares on his car radio that should be very familiar to AEW fans: “Judas”. Maybe he’ll drive out to the arena on the Cobra Kai Mustang with “Judas” at full volume again. Or maybe not.

Finally, Max Caster has been pushing it on social media and The Acclaimed made it official on Dynamite. Tonight on Rampage, they’re heading to the Walk Of Fame. What will Max Caster do to that Mr. McMahon plaque? Oh dear. All that and more, tonight on this AEW Rampage card.
