The Rise of 2pointO in AEW

2pointO AEW

2pointO, the team of “Daddy MagicMatt Menard & “Cool HandAngelo Parker have been exceptional signings for All Elite Wrestling since their arrival last year in mid-August. The duo was immediately paired with Daniel Garcia and quickly became a problem for the duo of Sting and Darby Allin heading into the fall months of 2021. Let’s take a look at the rise of the duo in AEW.

2pointO’s Rise Up the AEW Card

Following the feud, 2pointO was used on AEW DARK to continue their in-ring reps until their feud with Eddie Kingston, Ortiz and Santana began towards the end of last year. The feud eventually progressed into Eddie Kingston & friends vs. the Jericho Appreciation Society as 2022 settled in with the formation of a new faction centered on chaos and an idea of sports entertainment born from former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. This new stable was formed on the ashes of another long-tenured group also led by Chris Jericho within All Elite Wrestling, “The Inner Circle“.

When Chris Jericho broke up The Inner Circle, he chose 2pointO as stablemates for a new council called  ” the Jericho Appreciation Society” alongside Daniel Garcia and Inner Circle running mates Sammy Guevara and “The Hand of the Ocho” Jake Hager. The JAS has been dominating AEW with their display of sports entertainment but mostly causing havoc for Jon Moxley and the Blackpool Combat Club.

This summer AEW held the 2nd ever Blood & Guts match but despite a valiant effort from 2pointO along with everyone else in “the JAS”, Blackpool Combat Club walked away victorious. The JAS recently expanded to include Tay Melo and Anna J.A.S. (Anna Jay) in recent months, but 2.o are the real MVPs of Jericho’s council. You can get a taste of Matt Menard on commentary every week on AEW Dark Elevation alongside their array of announcing experts. both members of 2pointO tried to unsuccessfully court the FTW World Championship from HOOK but things didn’t turn out for them.

As the end of 2022 is in site we will see how their momentum carries into next year as part of J.A.S.
