Preview: AEW Dynamite (10/12/22) – AEW’s Canada Debut – Full Card, How to Watch

AEW Dynamite Canada Debut

The “Great White North” is about to be red-hot as all All Elite Wrestling makes its Canada debut with this Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite. The past few weeks and months have been hectic for AEW. While some may believe it will be difficult to keep up this break-neck pace, the #AllElite promotion is constantly proving the doubters and keeping their foot firmly planted on the gas pedal. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite will not be any different.

On this exciting edition of AEW’s flagship show, Canada’s own Chris Jericho settles his difference with “The American Dragon” with the Ring of Honor World Championship on the line. Speaking of differences, two lifelong friends battle it out in what promises to be a brutal but extremely emotional bout. There’s a lot more in store for AEW’s Canada debut, so don’t you dare miss it. It’s Wednesday night after all, and you know what that means! This is AEW Dynamite. Let’s run it down.

Full AEW Dynamite Match Card

  • Billy Gunn vs. Swerve Strickland
  • “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry vs. Luchasaurus
  • Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. & Jamie Hayter
  • All-Atlantic Championship Match: PAC (c) vs. Orange Cassidy
  • ROH World Championship Match: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Bryan Danielson

A Thriller in Toronto

On last week’s 3rd-anniversary show edition of Dynamite, the matchup between Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia against Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara was an absolute barnburner. Unfortunately, the match would end on a sour note. The ROH Pure Champion had “The Spanish God” dead to rights as he got him locked in the Dragonslayer. That was until his once-mentor Chris Jericho blasted him with the ROH title belt, allowing Guevara to capitalize and secure the victory.

This incident left many, especially Danielson and Garcia, with a bad taste in their mouths. However, Jericho is not getting off that easily. In Toronto, in front of his home country, “The Ocho” will have to talk the talk and go one-on-one with one of the greatest Ring of Honor World Champions ever for all the marbles. This ROH World title match isn’t just about winning the gold itself.

It’s about respect and finally proving once and for all who the absolute best is in the professional wrestling industry. It’s Danielson versus Jericho in Toronto for the ROH World Championship! Put it on your calendars, folks! You do not want to miss this.

Fractured Friendship

AEW originals “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry and Luchasaurus weren’t just there for each other at the beginning of AEW. Both were there for the start of each other’s careers. Unfortunately, this years-long friendship ran into a brick wall it possibly can never recover from in the form of “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage. For months, Cage managed the duo as they rose through the AEW Tag Team Division ranks and eventually became the AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Unfortunately, Christian Cage was also slowly but surely driving a wedge between the two. The veteran undoubtedly “Out. Worked. Everyone.” when he implanted thoughts into Luchasaurus’ head, leading him to eventually turn on the individual he considered his brother. The time for forgiveness has come and gone and Jungle Boy is out for blood. This Wednesday, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry battles Luchasaurus in Toronto. Expect nothing less but a hard-hitting and emotional affair. It all goes down this Wednesday, live on TBS, on the Canada debut edition of AEW Dynamite!
