Asuka Returns to Monday Night Raw, Confronts Becky Lynch

Asuka Returns on Monday Night Raw

In the second hour of this week’s Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch made her first WWE appearance since her Raw Women’s Championship loss to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania. Lynch declared that she hit rock bottom, only to realize that since she had done so, there was nowhere to go but up. Her mood perked up, Lynch expressed interest in recapturing the Raw women’s title. Interrupting “Big Time Becks’s” in-ring segment, however, was Asuka, returning to Monday Night Raw to confront an old rival.

After making her entrance, Asuka took the mic, addressing the WWE Universe. She then set her sets on Becky Lynch, saying that she would stop her and that “no one was ready for Asuka,” even tapping Lynch on the nose in a taunting fashion. Lynch attempted to get physical, only for Asuka to evade her strikes. Quickly thereafter, “Big Time Becks” fled the ring, leaving Asuka standing tall on Monday Night Raw.

What to Know Regarding Major Return on Raw

Asuka returned to Monday Night Raw following over nine months of inactivity. She last competed for WWE at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view this past July. She was one of the competitors involved in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, which was eventually won by Nikki A.S.H. From there, Asuka stepped away from the ring due to injury. It was once reported that Asuka could have returned as early as this past February, thought this was largely a matter of whether she could be cleared in time.
