Taya Valkyrie Wins AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Rebellion
With this win, Taya Valkyrie becomes a four-time AAA Reina de Reinas Champion. She ties Faby Apache for the most ever reigns as AAA Reina de Reinas Champion. She already holds the record for most cumulative days as champion.
Valkyrie made her surprise return to IMPACT at the Multiverse of Matches during Wrestlecon. She confronted Deonna Purrazzo who had just defeated Faby Apache in an open challenge. She laid out the challenge for this matchup and it was made official a short time later. Valkyrie was last seen in IMPACT in 2020 when she was arrested for the attempted murder of John E Bravo. Her first match back in IMPACT has her off to a great start back in IMPACT.
Purrazzo still holds one championship as she is also the Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion. She has her next challenger set for that belt as Mercedes Martinez is the interim champion and will get the next shot at Purrazzo.
