Preview: WWE SmackDown (3/25/22) – Fatal Four Way Women’s Match

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar

Friday Night SmackDown is here once more and this week it is live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The Road to WrestleMania is in full throttle, with this week’s SmackDown being the final episode before next week’s go-home edition ahead of what is shaping up to be one hell of yet another two-night WrestleMania. With two matches and a couple of segments announced for tonight, let’s jump right into the preview.

The storyline between Brock Lesnar and Roman ReignsBloodline faction has boiled over into a vicious, brutal clash which almost saw Lesnar impale the Tribal Chief with a forklift last week. Yes, really. Reigns, alongside with cousins The Usos (Jimmy & Jey), was fortunate to escape unscathed. However, this week, Jimmy Uso will go one-on-one with Shinsuke Nakamura and you can be sure Jimmy will have one eye looking over his shoulder, as Brock is certain to be lurking around.

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns: The Fallout

Speaking of Brock Lesnar lurking around, the WWE is heavily teasing that tonight’s episode of SmackDown will feature “the fallout” of last week’s collision between “The Beast” and the “Tribal Chief”. Per WWE.com:

“Last week, WWE Champion Brock Lesnar laid waste to the blue brand on his quest for payback for the attack he suffered at the hands of Universal Champion Roman Reigns and The Usos at a live event at Madison Square Garden. After crashing a forklift into the retreating Bloodline’s ride, The Beast ripped a door from their SUV as they sped away.

What will happen after the chaotic assault en route to The Biggest WrestleMania Match of All Time? Find out this Friday at 8/7 C on FOX.”

It is almost certain, then, that at least one of the two men – if not both – will be present on tonight’s penultimate SmackDown ahead of their WrestleMania clash in 9 days. Tune in to see what happens next.

Sasha Banks vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Queen Zelina vs. Shayna Baszler

The other match announced for tonight’s SmackDown is a preview for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship fatal four-way match taking place at WrestleMania. Next weekend, the teams of Sasha Banks & Naomi, Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan, Shayna Baszler & Natalya and champions Queen Zelina & Carmella will collide in the ring – with one-half of each team colliding in tonight’s fatal four-way. It is a travesty that the likes of Banks, Baszler and Ripley are being wasted on a tag team division which the WWE has treated as an afterthought and whereas tonight’s match has the potential to be very good, it feels like a waste. Here’s hoping things pick up tonight.
