#AndNEW: Jurassic Express Wins AEW Tag Titles

Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus “Jurassic Express” captured the AEW Tag Titles tonight on AEW Dynamite. They defeated The Lucha Brothers in the main event of the show. The show was newsworthy as Jade Cargill became the inaugural TBS Champion earlier in the show.

Jurassic Express Wins AEW Tag Titles

The match was fast-paced and hard-hitting and even saw a table introduced that was utilized by Luchasurus. The match ended with Jungle Boy scoring the pinfall on Penta El Zero Miedo to win the belts with his family in attendance. This is the first title reign for both Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus in AEW. They were accompanied to the ring by Christian Cage who has acted as a mentor to the tag team over the past few months in AEW. He joined the duo in their feud with The Elite during the back half of 2021. Alex Abrahantes accompanied The Lucha Brothers to the ring and tried to get involved by introducing the table. He was quickly chased off by Cage after introducing the table.

After the match, many of the tag teams emptied the locker room onto the entrance ramp. The champions have not held the belts long, but it is clear they already have challengers lined up. The tag team division in AEW is heating up, and Jurassic Express now have a target on their backs.
