Scotty 2 Hotty Returning To Ring With GCW

Scotty 2 Hotty

Well, that didn’t take long. Last month, Scott Garland – better known around the world as former WWE Superstar Scotty 2 Hotty from Too Coolannounced he was leaving WWE. Garland had returned to WWE in 2016, where he had been working as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center and working with the NXT brand. It didn’t take long for the return of the Master of the Worm to the ring, as Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) revealed on Tuesday night that Scotty 2 Hotty was making his GCW debut on New Year’s Day at GCW Die 4 This, where he’s scheduled to face AEW star (and GCW OG) Joey Janela.

The 51-year old former 2x WWE Tag Team Champion and WWF Light Heavyweight Champion last competed in 2016, just prior to his joining the WWE training staff, competing in independent promotions around the world, from the U.S. indies to the UK, including a 2014 appearance for Pro Wrestling NOAH. He’d also made sporadic one off appearances for WWE throughout the years since his departure 2007. Originally debuting as Scott Taylor and beginning with the WWF in 1991, it wasn’t until he united with Brian Christopher in 1999 and the duo were rebranded as Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay. The tag team formed the trios stable Too Cool with WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi.

GCW Die 4 This will take place in Atlantic City, New Jersey on January 1, 2022.
