Despite still being a relative newcomer to pro wrestling, Suruga is one of the most highly-touted young stars in her native Japan, where she has primarily wrestles for Gatoh Move.

Suruga made her AEW debut earlier this year, where she lost to Yuka Sakazaki in the first round of the Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament Japan Bracket. Following that, she teamed with Hikaru Shida and Rin Kadokura to defeat Emi Sakura, Maki Ito, and VENY in a six-woman tag.

Suruga returned to AEW several weeks ago and has been in Sakura’s corner during her rivalry with Ryo Mizunami, but this is her first time wrestling for the company since March.
