Thunder Rosa in Action on Dark: Elevation
Thunder Rosa is currently in the semi-finals of the TBS Championship Tournament, with an upcoming match against Jade Cargill.
In the previous round, Thunder Rosa defeated Jamie Hayter as a result of some botched interference from Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. That match has sown the seeds of dissension between Baker and Hayter, but it also sets the stage for another match between Baker and Thunder Rosa. The two had an all-time classic earlier this year in the Unsanctioned Lights Out match back in March, which saw Rosa come out on top.
Since then, of course, Britt Baker has gone on to become the AEW Women’s World Champion, and while Baker has had a dominant run with the title so far, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before she and Thunder Rosa clash again. Will Baker try to interfere again, costing Rosa the TBS Championship? Only time will tell.
Tonight on AEW Dark: Elevation, Thunder Rosa is in one on one action against the debuting Gabby Ortiz. Ortiz has been working on the indie scene for the past few years, with matches in World Wonder Ring Stardom and Ring of Honor, among many others. We’ll see how she fares tonight against Thunder Rosa on AEW Dark: Elevation!
