How could Bryan Danielson follow up his instant classic with Kenny Omega? Well, Danielson would continue battling in dream matches, this time going one-on-one with The Young Bucks’s Nick Jackson. It was a match that would favor Danielson due to Jackson being a tag team specialist for the majority of his career. In the early going, that certainly was the case. Danielson was dismantling the younger Young Buck in the early going, showing that he could outclass even one of the words best in his second-ever match in AEW. It wasn’t until Jackson got Danielson to the outside that he would begin to get some offense. Matt Jackson would hit Danielson with a Spear, changing the momentum moving forward,

Danielson’s well-noted resilience would peak back through, somehow managing to survive a German Suplex on the apron. Danielson would finish Jackson off with the Cattle Mutilation. What this match delivered was what Cody Rhodes explained Rampage as — all about the “fight itself.” No pomp and circumstance but rather straight-up professional wrestling as it should be. Friday night would mark Danielson’s very first win in his AEW career and we are confident that this will not be anywhere close to his last. Danielson is on the top of his game and it looks as though he can finish any opponent off with any move. That makes him dangerous. That makes him a threat. And all of that will bring Danielson to the top AEW.

The ability that Danielson is showing, bringing back the days of “The American Dragon” after a decade in WWE, will only show that he is still one of the best in the entire world.
