Predicting The Card For AEW Double or Nothing 2021

AEW Double or Nothing logo

AEW Double or Nothing is less than a month away and the card is beginning to shape up. While there has yet for any match to be made official, it seems reasonable that we can point out what will go down that night as storylines, rankings, and recent occurrences give us the hint of what is coming up. Here’s a predicted card for AEW Double or Nothing.

Predicted Card for AEW Double or Nothing:

AEW World Championship: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Eddie Kingston

AEW Double or Nothing Omega vs Kingston

The biggest question mark has been who will face Kenny Omega at Double or Nothing for the AEW World Champion. Well, we could be near our answer that it will be Eddie Kingston who steps up to Omega following this week’s episode of Dynamite. Kingston threatened to break the ankle of Omega before Don Callis promised a match for Kingston and Jon Moxley. While Moxley clearly has plenty of unfinished business with Omega, Kingston is likely to be the man to step up first. “The Mad King” vs. “The Belt Collector” sounds like a money match.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

AEW Double or Nothing Shida vs Baker

This match is a near-lock for Double or Nothing. Britt Baker finally took her rightful spot atop the AEW women’s rankings. As the No. 1 contender, her AEW Women’s Championship match against the dominant Hikaru Shida is deserving of this major stage and will be one of the biggest AEW matches in history when it does go down.

AEW World Tag Team Championships: The Young Bucks (c) vs. SCU (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian)

SCU has claimed that once they lose as a tag team, they will disband forever. Pretty major stuff for Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian, two men who have been connected for over a decade. Daniels very well may retire from in-ring competition altogether with the loss. On Dynamite, they officially challenged The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships, making it known that they want to fix AEW and rid their former friends of ruining it. This is a major match with loads of history and would be a must-see for Ring of Honor fans and AEW fans alike.

Darby Allin & Sting vs. Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky

Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky attack Sting

Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky have kept their eyes locked on Darby Allin and Sting. This past Wednesday, they made their move. Taking out the leg of Sting, Page and Sky made this one personal. While the TNT Championship being defended against either or both men makes sense, Sting is going to want a piece of them which makes this match a certainty for Double or Nothing. Lance Archer‘s involvement should be a key here as well.

The Dark Order vs. Matt Hardy’s Family

The Dark Order against the Matt Hardy Family is going to happen in some shape or form after Hardy has made it his personal mission to mess with The Dark Order since his feud with Hangman Page. These two factions are destined to collide with Double or Nothing seemingly being the place for it.

The Nightmare Family vs. The Factory

Cody Rhodes returned on AEW Dynamite this week to attack QT Marshall. The Nightmare Family and The Factory are going to be fighting for some time and a major faction match at Double or Nothing would be the best opportunity to showcase all the young talents involved like Lee Johnson, Nick Comoroto, and the knockout artist Anthony Ogogo.

Miro vs. Kip Sabian

Miro has instantly become the killer everyone knew he could become and he is taking it out on his former friend, Kip Sabian. After smashing the wrist of Sabian, it would only be right for “Superbad” to try and get a match against Miro. It may not work out well for him, but this should be the stage for Miro’s first major singles win.

Death Triangle vs. Best Friends & Orange Cassidy

Death Triangle and Best Friends have been at each other’s necks since the return of Trent?. Fenix has a pinfall win over Chuck Taylor, while Penta El Zero Miedo was able to defeat Trent? but fell to Orange Cassidy in their most recent match. The interesting factor here is PAC, who has yet to really involve himself in the feud as of this writing. The match is coming and PAC could be the deciding factor in it all.

Casino Battle Royale or Ladder Match

Casino Ladder Match AEW Double or Nothing

While nothing has been announced yet, the Casino style match has become a staple of AEW PPVs and it should return in some fashion this time around. Last year was a Ladder match, the year prior was a battle royale. Expect one of the two to happen with a major opportunity on the line once again.

Christian Cage & Hangman Page vs. Team Taz

Christian Cage‘s first pay-per-view match for AEW is likely to be Double or Nothing and after the last month of Team Taz altercations, it’s only reasonable to assume it will be taking them on in some form. However, he may have a teammate in this fight as Hangman Page suffered defeat at the hands of Brian Cage on Dynamite after a prematch beat down by Team Taz. Christian and Page could team up to take them on in an effort to rid AEW of Team Taz once and for all.
