AEW Dynamite Card – Championship Edition (4/14/21)

AEW Dynamite 4/14/21

Wednesday night is wrestling night with another edition of AEW Dynamite. This week’s show is surrounded by such excitement and intrigue. Two championship matches are sanctioned as the best tag team in AEW will defend the gold against probably the most dangerous duo on the roster. The TNT Champion continues to welcome all challengers as well as two women try and settle the score once and for all. Last week’s event gave the fans more questions than answers and hopefully, by the end of the night, we all get the vindication we need. Because “It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means!” It’s time to run it down.

Full AEW Dynamite Match Card:

– Falls Count Anywhere TNT Championship Match: Darby Allin (c) vs. Matt Hardy

– In-Ring Debut of Anthony Ogogo (w/QT Marshall)

– Kris Statlander vs. Amber Nova

– Red Velvet vs. Jade Cargill

– Dax Hardwood (w/Cash Wheeler) vs. Chris Jericho (w/Sammy Guevara) – Special Ringside Enforcer: Mike Tyson (All Other Inner Circle & Pinnacle Members Barred From Ringside)

– AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks (c) vs. PAC & Rey Fenix

That B*tch

Things have gotten much more personal between Jade Cargill and Red Velvet. The animosity between these two women is palpable, to say the least. It has gotten so personal that mind games and verbal beatdowns just don’t cut it anymore. Fans thought it was done and over with when the two tagged with Cody Rhodes and Shaq respectively, but apparently, it was only the beginning. Cargill is not letting up in her quest to become the face of AEW’s women’s division. Knowing Red Velvet, that will never ever happen if she has anything to say about it. The time is here and the time is now, one on one: Cargill vs. Velvet. Who’s going to come out on top?

Eye for an Eye on AEW Dynamite

Ahead of their Blood and Guts Match on May 5th, two members from The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle go mano a mano. Things between the two factions have gotten ugly in no time at all. The Inner Circle fired back and in a big way with Chris Jericho’s immortal words against The Pinnacle and its leader MJF. In that scathing undressing of the group, Jericho laid down the challenge with his boys firmly behind him, he challenged The Pinnacle to war next month. But for now, we get a preview of things to come in May.

As Jericho will go at it against one-half of FTR in the form of Dax Harwood, the legendary fighter, “The Baddest Man on the Planet,” Mike Tyson will oversee the contest with all other members of both groups barred from ringside. Things are about to explode! Will Chris Jericho follow through on his promise and fire the first shot or will Dax Harwood win one and build up some momentum for his brothers?

Too Sweet?

In a puzzling turn of events, The Young Bucks seemed like they had a change of heart with their actions last week. Brothers Matt and Nick Jackson ultimately betrayed their tag team partner for that night, Jon Moxley, handing the win to Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers. For weeks, the Bucks have denied the request of the trio to “throw it up” and fix the animosity between them. Time after time, Matt and Nick would refuse. On last week’s show, it was a little different. At the end of the match, they all would hug in the center of the ring, seemingly burying the hatchet. Is the turmoil actually behind them or did The Young Bucks get caught up in the moment?

Nonetheless, definitive answer or not, they better be ready. As the rightful contenders, PAC and Rey Fenix are cashing in on their shot. Their eyes are firmly set on winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Will the Bucks retain the titles or will Fenix and Pac finally bring the hardware to the domain of Death Triangle?
