John Wayne Murdoch Wins ICW Deathmatch Title

#AndNEW: John Wayne Murdoch Wins ICW American Deathmatch Championship

On Saturday, two different promotions revealed two brand titles, first with Alex Colon winning the new GCW Ultraviolent Championship, and then a few hours later, John Wayne Murdoch capped off an amazing run the past year in ICW No Holds Barred by winning the newly created ICW American Deathmatch Championship in his victory of Eric Ryan at ICW NHB Volume 2: Say Farewell to the Pawn Shop.

The win marks a return of a championship belt to ICW, who hasn’t had one since the ICW Heavyweight Championship and ICW Tag Team titles were deactivated in 2015. Current ICW owner Danny Demanto was the final ICW Heavyweight Champion, while Rhett Titus & Matt Taven were the final ICW Tag Team champions. It’s another championship belt to add Murdoch’s rapidly expanding trophy case, where he’s a former 5x IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Champion and multi-time tag team champion with Reed Bentley in The Rejects. The duo are the current tag team champions in Paradigm Pro Wrestling (PPW) and Unsanctioned Pro and have held tag gold in GCW and IWA Mid-South.
