Andrade Granted WWE Release

Andrade

It was not long ago when rumors broke out that Andrade had asked for his WWE release. The former NXT Champion, who had not been seen in months, had seemingly reached his breaking point after his stop/start usage on the main roster. Andrade went on to confirm those rumors in a tweet stating that he was unsure what the future held.

In a report by Voices Of Wrestling, it was reported that Andrade was initially set to be released from the WWE last April when the company released dozens of on and off-screen talents. From this point on, the relationship has presumably been strained, with Andrade reportedly turning down a number of ideas pitched for his return to the company. Whatever poor relationship the company had with Andrade was surely only made worse with the release of Zelina Vega, who had been Andrade’s manager for most of his WWE career.

Following WWE Fastlane, the company confirmed rumors speculating online, stating that they had come to terms on the release of Andrade. Not much else had been added other than the company wishing him well in all of his future endeavors, a tactic employed with talent releases in the past.

Andrade will not be short of suitors in his post-WWE career. The former La Sombra was a star in Mexico and would be welcomed to AAA with open arms. Or  he could realign with RUSH in Los Facción Ingobernables, the group that is currently running roughshod in Ring Of Honor. As La Sombra, he is also a former IWGP Intercontinental Champion and would be more than welcome back in NJPW. Of course, AEW is always a potential destination for the talented performer. The wrestling world will have to wait with bated breath to see the next step of the former La Sombra.
