IMPACT Wrestling Card – Sacrifice Title Match Contract Signing (3/9/21)

IMPACT Wrestling 3/9/21

The IMPACT Wrestling roster is in high gear as they head into one of the biggest shows of the year. IMPACT Wrestling’s Sacrifice will premiere this Sunday at 8 ON on FITE TV and IMPACT Plus, with a few highly built title matches promoted for the show. The newly-minted TNA World Heavyweight Champion Moose hopes to become a double champion as he challenges Rich Swann for the IMPACT World Championship in the main event this Sunday. Before this, what will Moose have in store for the underdog champion?

Plus, a few high-profile matches and a title match contract signing involving two different companies will take place on this episode. Here is the full announced card for this Tuesday’s IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV.

Contract Signing for IMPACT World Tag Team Championship Match at Sacrifice

The Good Brothers FinJuice IMPACT Wrestling

The NJPW team of FinJuice (Juice Robinson and David Finlay) shocked the wrestling world when they were first revealed to be working with IMPACT Wrestling following Hard to Kill earlier this year.  They have since been undefeated on IMPACT television, having beaten Reno Scum on two separate occasions. The second match, however, also involved XXXL on the rival side and FinJuice’s opponents tonight, The Good Brothers, on their side.

On tonight’s IMPACT Wrestling, FinJuice will put pen to paper as they will face The Good Brothers for the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship for the first time at Sacrifice. Up until this point, the relationship between these now opposing forces was one of trust and shared backgrounds. However, cracks formed after their tag match last week, causing the NJPW natives to challenge for the titles. Will tensions begin to flair during this contract signing?

Shera and Rohit Raju versus James Storm and Chris Sabin

Shera Rohit Raju James Storm Chris Sabin

Former IMPACT X-Division Champion Rohit Raju has been somewhat lost since losing his championship to Manik a couple of months ago. That was until his former tag team partner Shera made his return to IMPACT to assist Raju. This will be Shera’s first match on IMPACT Television since The Desi Hit Squad lost to The Rascalz in a tag team match last summer. Shera appears to be in the best shape of his life, making him a very effective heavy to Rohit Raju’s shifty tactics.

However, the no long makeshift team of Beer Gun has a lot more they need to prove in this match. Ever since Alex Shelley was shelved by XXXL on IMPACT television in January, Chris Sabin has been forced to become friendly with the MCMG‘s former rival James Storm. While they have yet to succeed this year as a tag team, they have proven a lot of people wrong by manifesting unprecedented chemistry and potential as a tag team in such a short period of time. If they can somehow overcome the newly invigorated Desi Hit Squad, they will be sure to get another shot at the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles.

Ace Austin Faces Chris Bey on IMPACT Wrestling

Ace Austin Chris Bey IMPACT Wrestling

Ace Austin became the new #1 contender for the X-Division Championship on last week’s episode of IMPACT television, pinning Black Taurus in a triple threat match. Chris Bey was the other competitor in last week’s match but has a legit grievance with not being pinned. Therefore, he is still owed a fair fight with Austin. The 2021 Super X Cup winner has yet to reach his peak and showed no signs of stopping. Bey has had similar momentum, having held the X-Division Championship just last year.

These two top X-Division competitors met one-on-one for the first time since August 2019, where Ace Austin came out the winner.  Since then, the two men have teamed on multiple occasions, while also being in several multi-man matches for X-Division Championship contention. How will the result of this match affect the future of the X-Division?

IMPACT Wrestling airs tonight at 8 PM on AXS TV.
