Stardom runs the Edion Osaka Arena for their biggest show in seven years for Osaka Dream Cinderella. With the company running Nippon Budokan in just a few short months everyone will be desperate to have a big match on the card so expect everyone to give it their all to earn a title between now and Budokan. This show features a number of top matches with Utami Hayashishita vs Momo Watanabe headlining in a World Of Stardom title match between the former tag champions. Let’s preview the show
Future Of Stardom Championship: Maika (C) vs Saya Iida vs Saya Kamitani
These three women meet once again to earn the title of Future Of Stardom. Maika has fended both off over the past few months now but both Saya’s have continued to grow and Kamitani even holds a pinfall win over Maika thanks to her Phoenix Splash. Maika’s title reign is in real danger here.
Oedo Tai (Natsuko Tora & Konami) vs Ruaka & Riho
Riho continues to float around the Stardom card as a free entity, this time teaming with STARS’ Ruaka in a match that they will surely lose to the leader of Oedo Tai. Konami is coming off of a loss to Giulia so a win here would get her momentum back on track.
Oedo Tai (Bea Priestley & Saki Kashima) vs Donna Del Mondo (Natsupoi & Himeka)
This tag match could go either way as neither team are regular tag partners. We would give the edge to the Donna Del Mondo duo as both have been booked well enough in Stardom so far while Kashima often takes falls. Whoever wins could lay claim for a Goddesses Of Stardom title match in the future.
High Speed Championship: AZM (C) vs Mei Hoshizuki
This is the match every Stardom fan has been looking forward to since Hoshizuki got a surprise pinfall victory over AZM during a Queen’s Quest vs Marvelous tag match. AZM has always wanted to represent Stardom’s high speed division against outsiders and now she faces the incredibly talented Hoshizuki who just won the Sendai Girls Junior Championship. These two young women could easily steal the show as they’re incredibly talented, AZM will need to be on her game too or she could drop the title here.
Artist Of Stardom Championship: Break Of STARS? Elimination Match – STARS (Mayu Iwatani, Starlight Kid & Gokigen Death) vs Cosmic Angels (Tam Nakano, Mina Shirakawa & Unagi Sayaka) (c)
Update: The Cosmic Angels are putting their newly won Artist Of Stardom Championships on the line in this match
Tensions have been growing in STARS between Mayu Iwatani and Tam Nakano, at Edion these tensions may reach breaking point in a rematch from Korakuen New Landscape. Iwatani is not at all happy with Nakano inviting new people to Stardom and setting up her own sub-group and she has not tried to hide it in the slightest. STARS is a bloated group and a break off is possible but we don’t think they’d give that away in a six-person tag match. Expect things to keep going until Nakano and Iwatani square off in the ring.
Wonder Of Stardom & SWA Undisputed World Women’s Championship Match: Giulia (C) vs Syuri (C)
Syuri and Giulia aim to walk out of Osaka Dream Cinderella as a double champion. The Donna Del Mondo faction mates made the match after the Sendai Cinderella main event which will see Syuri put her newly won SWA Championship on the line to get a shot at the “white belt”. Stardom has made it clear that Giulia is going to be one of their biggest stars for many years to come so she has to come into this one as the favorite. A draw would be the most preferable result though as it would allow Syuri to keep her title and she would look great by avoiding defeat to Giulia who has beaten so many of Stardom’s best this year.
World Of Stardom Championship: Utami Hayashishita (C) vs Momo Watanabe
Queen’s Quest members collide in our main event. Despite being younger Momo Watanabe is more experienced than Hayashishita and has a record run as Wonder Of Stardom Champion under her belt. The world title has so far evaded Watanabe though. She looks to change that here against a woman who has yet to beat pin her. Utami Hayashishita is making defence number one of her title after dethroning the “Icon Of Stardom” Mayu Iwatani and she will do everything in her power to avoid losing the title without making a single defense. These two have wrestled twice before and both have been great matches, we believe that they can and will deliver a match worthy of the final spot on such a big show. Expect Hayashishita to retain and beat Watanabe for the first time.
