NXT has built some major momentum in recent weeks with full efforts that sent fans ablaze on social media. With the lineup they have put together this week, including two championship matches, they are sure to try and do that once again. Here’s the preview for this week’s NXT.
Toni Storm vs. Candice LeRae
Toni Storm has been on a path of destruction since returning to NXT as she has recorded wins over Aliyah and most recently Shotzi Blackheart. However, that win over Blackheart has to be seen as an assist from Candice LeRae, who appeared on the screen in the Capitol Wrestling Center to get the attention of Shotzi. It allowed Storm to roll her up for the win. Now, the two will face off. One almost has to expect Blackheart to be close by as she will not take that loss last week for granted. LeRae did destroy her tank after all.
North American Championship: Johnny Gargano (c) vs. A “Worthy” Opponent
Johnny Gargano has never successfully defended either of his singles titles during his time in NXT. He is looking to change that in his second reign with the North American Championship as he guarantees a win this week over someone “worthy.” What that means, we do not know. Maybe whoever that is can pull off an upset of sorts and send Gargano spiraling again.
NXT Tag Team Championships: Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch (c) vs. Breezango
The new NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch will defend their championships for the first time against the former champions, Breezango. Lorcan and Burch are apart of Pat McAfee‘s Kings of NXT, and it should be expected that they walk out #AndSTILL. There’s always the chance that the Undisputed Era returns, of course, and that could give Breezango a chance to capture the win. We just know that McAfee and Pete Dunne will be around, that’s for certain.
Xia Li vs. Raquel Gonzalez
Xia Li has been determined to prove something the past few weeks but has continuously come up short in the last two months. So her answer? Face Raquel Gonzalez in singles action. And interesting move, but one that could skyrocket her stock if she were able to defeat Gonzalez. Of course, Gonzalez is fresh off her fantastic match with Rhea Ripley at Halloween Havoc where she was seconds away from winning the match. Smart money says that Gonzalez will walk out the winner, but there’s a story being told here with Li.
