#AndNEW Black Label Pro Champions Crowned

At Saturday’s Black Label Pro Erick Stevens Presents Professional Wrestling, the namesake of the show defended his BLP Heavyweight Championship. Stevens took on the debuting Calvin Tankman. For eighteen minutes, Tankman brutalized Stevens much to the delight of the socially distanced crowd. Fans delighted as Erick Stevens praised the break-out star, recently signed to MLW, and presented him with the BLP Heavyweight Championship belt.

However, instead of being the crowning moment for this new title reign, it would prove to be the kiss of death. Jake Something stormed the ring and struck Tankman. This would start the first title defense for the new champ, which would be over in short order. The winner and new Black Label Pro Heavyweight Champion, Jake Something. The crowd both in-person and online were less than impressed with Tankman’s less than lengthy reign. We’ll have to hope that Tankman will at least receive a return match in the future.

Later that day, as part of the BLP double-header, at We’re Back, the BLP Tag Team Championships were on the line. Danhausen and “All Ego” Ethan Page defended their titles against The Besties in The World, Davey Vega and Mat Fitchett. In a very entertaining match, we saw the Besties in the World capture their 8th set of tag team titles. Danhausen and Egohausen’s reign was ended at 280 days. Black Label Pro’s next event is set for October 3rd, the Turbo Graps 16 tournament.
