It’s Official: Brian Pillman Jr. Returning to AEW for AEW DARK

AEW DARK - Spears vs Pillman

Many people caught Brian Pillman Jr. in the audience on last week’s edition of AEW Dynamite during Fyter Fest and soon photos emerged of Pillman in full gear backstage. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has released the line-up for this coming Tuesday’s AEW DARK and one of the matches announced was Brihean Pillman Jr. as the next opponent for AEW’s “Chairman” Shawn Spears.

While it’s Pillman’s “debut” on AEW television, it’s actually his second appearance for the company – he made his actual AEW debut at the company’s inaugural PPV, Double or Nothing, in May of 2019 as part of the 21-wrestler Casino Battle Royale. Brian Pillman Jr. is an active roster member of Major League Wrestling (MLW), having joined the company back in the summer of 2018 as a part of the new Hart Foundation.

Brian Pillman began his wrestling career in 2017 training under Lance Storm in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, before continuing his training in his native Ohio with Sami Callihan. Since his debut on the US indies in early 2018, he’s become one of the top stars in the US indies with the likes of Beyond Wrestling, Glory Pro, DEFY Wrestling, IWA Mid-South, and others, including Chicago’s Warrior Wrestling, where he had just won the Warrior Championship this past February.
