Former CHIKARA Tag Team Xyberhawx2000 Rebrand as The.Air.Show

It was a huge blow to fans around the world in recent weeks when beloved promotion CHIKARA shut down after 18 years following allegations against owner Mike Quackenbush. Prior to the shutdown, the majority of the roster resigned from the company, including the 80s animated series Xyberhawx2000 tandem of Razerhawk and Danjerhawk. On July 1, the duo revealed on Social Media they had rebranded to a new tag team entitled The.Air.Show and that Razerhawk would now be known as Neowyng and Danjerhawk as MACH10. They announced the rebooting of their personas in a video set to a song straight out of an 80s action movie montage.

Razerhawk debuted in CHIKARA in 2016 alongside his original partner was Sylverhawk, who would soon find greater success unmasked as Wheeler YUTA. Razerhawk won the 2017 CHIKARA Young Lions Cup and that year he found a replacement partner in Danjerhaawk, and they briefly became a trio in 2018 when they were joined by Nytehawk. Like Sylverhawk, Nytehawk left Xyberhawx2000, with multiple members of CHIKARA (and elsewhere) claiming to be the character post-CHIKARA, such as Boomer Hatfield, Callux, and Shazza McKenzie. It will go down as one of CHIKARA’s greatest mysteries. Like many CHIKARA performers, their in-ring abilities are vastly underrated due to people often seeing only the outlandish character work, but these are two very gifted aerialists who will hopefully flourish out in the open sea of indies in the US and beyond.
