This episode of ChocoPro will close out the month of June in a major way. In recent months, the founder of Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling, Emi Sakura, found herself in the crosshairs of a former pupil. Yuna Mizumori, who ChocoPro viewers voted the season one MVP, has been on a proverbial roller coaster ride as of late. Her struggles have led her to this show. They will stand on opposite sides of the Ichigaya Chocolate Square venue in the climax of ChocoPro’s longest-running story.

Last time on ChocoPro, Emi Sakura defeated Mitsuru Konno in a competitive main event. Following her victory, as well as the janken tournament, Sakura was the victim of a sneak attack by Yuna Mizumori. Detailed below, their feud had grown considerably over the past few months. On episode twenty-eight, they will face off in a match dubbed “Last Woman Standing.” Learn more about the match in question below.
Yuna Mizumori vs. Emi Sakura
The struggles of Yuna Mizumori can be tracked back to the beginning of 2020. In March, alongside tag team partner SAKI, Mizumori lost the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship to Kaori Yoneyama and Emi Sakura. From there, Gatoh Move brought life to their unique venture in the form of the ChocoPro. Yunamon was a regular competitor on the show, but as the weeks went on, the once jovial “Pineapple Girl” became more of a loose cannon.

This wasn’t to say that the shift was terribly surprising. Leading up to said shift, Sakura repeatedly pushed Mizumori to find her true self. Such prompting frustrated Mizumori. On the eleventh episode of ChocoPro, she faced Minoru Fujita in a Last Man Standing match. This was one of Yunamon’s greatest challenges. In one of the best matches in ChocoPro, she was unable to topple the Japanese wrestling veteran. Needless to say, Sakura’s words lingered in the mind of the often upbeat fighter in green.
From there, Yunamon’s demeanor became more volatile. Fast forward to episode fifteen of ChocoPro, which saw her face Baliyan Akki. This was an intense match that pushed both competitors to their limits. Though she didn’t lose, the fact that Mizumori wrestled Akki to a time limit draw didn’t help her mindset. The post-show janken tournament was won by Mei Suruga. In response, Mizumori attacked Suruga before stealing her celebratory chocolate and escaping out of the window. This ultimately led to an iron man match between Mizumori and Suruga on episode 17. In this heated encounter that was voted the best match of season one, Mizumori came out on top. Despite this, Yunamon still felt unfulfilled.
To further intensify matters, Mizumori and Sakura would work with one another in multiple tag team encounters. In an effort to get under the skin of the “Pineapple Girl,” Sakura mocked her poses and wrestling maneuvers. While these techniques helped Sakura pick up victories during ChocoPro episodes, said techniques were the equivalent of poking a hornet’s rest. Sooner or later, Mizumori would retaliate with the intensity of multiple stings.

Mizumori had one request: a singles match with Sakura. Repeatedly, the owner of Gatoh Move put her former trainee in matches with other competitors, from Akki to Suruga. Every time her request was shot down or avoided, Mizumori became more irate. After weeks of dodging this challenge, Sakura finally acquiesced. The match was made: on the final episode of ChocoPro for June, Mizumori would fulfill her wish of wrestling Sakura in a one-on-one contest.
Frequent ChocoPro viewers will note that the personalities of Mizumori and Sakura are opposite. Even when they teamed with one another, Mizumori’s outlandish frustration proved to be a stark contrast to Sakura’s more playful demeanor. However, this ChocoPro main event will be anything but playful. Sakura had been successful in her matches leading up to this event, but will the “power fighter” of Gatoh Move put an end to her momentum? Will Yunamon be able to silence the woman who trained her once and for all? This will be a ChocoPro showdown not to miss.
