Arisa Hoshiki Retires

Arisa Hoshiki

It has been announced that due to head and neck injuries the Wonder Of Stardom Champion Arisa Hoshiki has retired from professional wrestling.  The Wonder Of Stardom championship has been vacated.

This is the latest in a string of retirements for Stardom which has seen them lose top names like Hazuki, Kagetsu, and now Hoshiki in a matter of months.  This is the second time Hoshiki has left the wrestling business as her initial tenure with Stardom lasted roughly one year as she left in 2012 following her debut in 2011

She returned in 2018 and after knocking off the ring rust became one of the most exciting performers on the Stardom roster thanks to her stiff strikes and consistent experimenting with new techniques that led to her having the best arsenal in Stardom.  She won the Cinderella Tournament in 2019 and went on to end Momo Watanabe’s historic and record-breaking Wonder Of Stardom title reign to establish herself as one of Stardom’s best.  Her matches were always the highlight of Stardom’s Korakuen Hall shows and she was one of our favorites

Despite her relatively short career Hoshiki always showed the potential to be a top star in wrestling even in her earlier days.  Her in-ring work mixed with a goofy charisma and a tendency to become a cocky menace in the ring came together to make a fantastic performer. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be as her career has been cut short at a time when it was clear Stardom saw her as a top name in the company.

We will miss Arisa Hoshiki, and we wish her all the best for her post-wrestling life where she’s sure to be a shining star.
