A Love Story With A Body Count: Killer Kross & Scarlett Bourdeaux Set for NXT Live Debut

Killer Kross

For weeks now, NXT has been releasing vignettes and teasers to signal the impending arrival of former IMPACT Wrestling stars Killer Kross and Scarlett Bourdeaux. On Wednesday, a date was finally set and next Wednesday, Killer Kross – now known as Karrion Kross in NXT – and Scarlett Bourdeaux will be debuting together in NXT.

Scarlett Bourdeaux signed with WWE first, announced as part of the November 2019 class of new recruits, following her release from IMPACT that previous June. Kross was finally released from IMPACT in December of 2019 and was announced as part of the February 2020 class of new recruits, which also included recently debuted Timothy Thatcher.

It’s worth noting that all the vignettes have shown that the real-life couple will indeed be paired together in NXT, something that never happened while both were members of the IMPACT Wrestling roster. But it’s not something foreign to the couple, as they worked together in Mexico with AAA Lucha Libre and in various indies, such as Bar Wrestling.

Scarlett Bourdeaux got her start in 2011 with Ohio Valley Wrestling, where she was trained by former WWE Superstars Al Snow and Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore and by 2013 was making appearances for Ring of Honor in the revamped Women of Honor division. Scarlett Bourdeaux got her first taste of WWE in 2016, working in an enhancement capacity on Raw against Nia Jax, as well as making her SHIMMER debut that same year. In 2017, she had her first tour with Stardom in Japan, teaming with UK star Chardonnay in the Goddesses of Stardom Tournament, working from October through December. She also became a regular with AAW, where she was the valet for The Besties in the World, and in 2018 made her debut with AAA in Mexico and signing with IMPACT Wrestling, where she would debut as “The Smoke Show”, portraying a strong woman comfortable with her sensuality. While it would take some time before she’d make her in-ring debut with IMPACT, she eventually partnered up with Fallah Bah and later faced Disco Inferno, before getting her release this past June.

Killer Kross came out of his hometown Las Vegas indie scene, as a star with Future Stars of Wrestling (FSW) in 2014. In 2015 and 2016, he joined Lucha Underground and became the White Rabbit, part of Paul London‘s Rabbit Tribe in 2018. He maintained a strong presence in the West Coast indie scene, working for Bar Wrestling, Maverick Pro, West Coast Wrestling Connection (WCWC), and DEFY Wrestling. In 2017, he debuted with Mexico’s AAA and soon joined the MAD faction with Jeff Jarrett, Konnan, Teddy Hart, Juventud Guerrera, Jack Evans, El Zoro, El Divo, and Sexy Dulce (Sexy Star). His stock increased when he signed with IMPACT Wrestling in 2018, bringing his lethal personality to national attention, becoming one of IMPACT’s biggest stars in a short time. Sadly, the relationship soured a year later, with his last IMPACT match at Slammiversary against Eddie Edwards last July 2019.
