American Hardcore Legend Justice Pain Passes Away at 41

The world of hardcore and deathmatches got some bad news on Friday night, as it was announced that one of the pioneers of American hardcore, Justice Pain, had passed away at the young age of 41. No cause of death has been revealed. Pain is the brother of another hardcore king, Nick Gage.

Trained in the Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) dojo, Justice Pain began his career in the end of the nineties and soon became one of the faces that lead CZW into the indie revolution of the early 2000s. He wrestled in the very first Cage of Death match against Lobo, formed H8 Club with Wifebeater, and became the first person to win the Triple Crown of CZW, as a 5x CZW World Heavyweight Champion, 4x CZW World Tag Team Champion, and CZW World Light Heavyweight Champion. He was also a 2x CZW Iron Man Champion.

In 2003, he briefly jumped ship, joining California’s Xtreme Pro Wrestling (XPW), where he would feud with Chris Candido. He also worked in Japan with Big Japan Wrestling (BJW), where he would win the BJW Tag Team titles with H8 Club. But his stint with XPW was shortlived, and he was soon back in CZW, where he remained until his retirement in 2007.

The Last Word on Pro Wrestling staff sends out their condolences to Justice Pain’s family, friends and peers.
