AEW Dynamite Highlights – The Elite and Inner Circle in Chaos (11/6/19)

Dynamite

After a week hiatus, the AEW Dynamite highlights are back and better than ever as it is the go-home episode to Full Gear. What will AEW have in store as they prepare for their first PPV with the most proper build up they’ve had? Fans will certainly find out Saturday night. For now, here is the best of the best from the go-home show as a packed show looks to deliver once again.

PAC vs Trent Gets Show Off To A Hot Start

Something that may shock people because of all the Best Friend stuff is that Trent is one hell of a good wrestler. You put him with the vile bastard himself, PAC, and that makes for one sweet matchup. PAC has had trouble finding victory as of late as his past two matches have ended in a loss when Jon Moxley left him hanging in their tag match, and then a draw between him and Moxley. Ahead of his match at Full Gear against Hangman Page, this was the time for PAC to get back on track, while Trent looked for his biggest win since joining All Elite Wrestling. Trent had Chuckie T and Orange Cassidy on the outside for him and the looks PAC gave Cassidy all match long is what makes him the bastard he is. After some great action, PAC dumped Trent to the outside allowing Chuckie T to try and get the referees attention.

This all led to the face-to-face you never knew you wanted but it was all worth it. Orange Cassidy put down the kicks of fury, but this led to a bicycle kick clearing out Cassidy. Trent that hit a hot streak where he got near fall after near fall but still could not find the win. By the end of the match, PAC was in control and hit a picture perfect Black Arrow. The ref seemingly stopped at before counting the three saying Trent kicked out, which was not the case but this just led to more pain instead. The Brutalizer was locked on and it was a win for PAC ahead of his match on Saturday. PAC grabbed the microphone and let Page know that this Saturday, he is walking out with his hand raised high once again.

Cody Makes His Big Announcement

Cody was out to make the announcement he has been meaning to make. He made it clear that The Elite has been looking to face a group like The Inner Circle. But after that, before making the announcement, he went on the tangent to make clear much like “Cowboy” Bill Watts and his father, “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, he is going into a championship match also as champion. Cody was inspired and made it clear that AEW is freedom to people in the industry and then it was announcement time. Cody said that it has weighed on him and he understands the position he is in and told the world if he loses on Saturday, he will never challenge for the AEW World Championship again. And then Cody, with every ounce of his being, cut the best promo in a long time.

He made it clear that if he had a silver spoon, Chris Jericho sure did too as the son of a famous hockey player. He told him this youth movement in wrestling needs him far less than he needs them and that after all this, he will finally show that his climb after 14 years to go from undesirable to undeniable. He is doing this for his family, he will become AEW World Champion, and when that happens, The Elite will be coming for The Inner Circle and they will eat them alive. An amazing, passionate promo out of someone that everyone in the arena wants to see walk out world champion on Saturday.

Private Party Wins Bronze, Heading To Full Gear

Private Party and The Dark Order went head-to-head to not only determine the third place team in the AEW Tag Team Championship tournament, but the winner would join the AEW Tag Team Championship match between the champions SCU and the Lucha Bros. For the fans who feared a Dark Order ruling here, no need to fear as a little bit of gin and juice did the trick. A perfectly timed gin and juice that is, as Private Party picked up the probable upset over The Dark Order and will now go to Full Gear with their biggest opportunity ever.

Main Event Ends In Controversy As Dynamite Ends With Absurd Chaos

Chris Jericho remains undefeated thanks to PAC. In the main event of Dynamite, it was Kenny Omega and Hangman Page taking on Le Champion himself, Chris Jericho, and Sammy Guevara. PAC, behind the back of the referee, hit Page with a low blow which would lead to a Judas Effect. The Inner Circle began the fight by attacking Hangman. Cody would come running down to the ring to make the save. Jericho and Hager tried to escaped, but MJF would hit both with a chair and feed Jericho to Cody. Cody and company fought on the outside as Jon Moxley made his way for Omega inside the ring.

As soon as he got in, it was barbed wire bat vs barbed wire broom until Santana and Ortiz broke it up and beat up both men. This of course led to The Young Bucks making the save and it was just an absolute mess. At one point, Kenny and Moxley assist by hitting Santana and Ortiz with a V-Trigger and Paradigm Shift. As soon as this was over they went to attack each other. Nick Jackson jumped off the entrance onto everyone at on point. It was Elite and Inner Circle staring each other down before the fight was on once again as the show went off the air. To say the least, a lot happened but it was a great end to the show heading into the PPV.

Dynamite of the Night: Chris Jericho’s Parody Video

Virgil. His Aunt’s friend from church. A mute Jake Hager. Being the youngest AEW World Champion of all-time. And picking a new bubbly for the celebration. Words cannot give this video enough love. It wins the night as he parodies Cody’s video that hyped him up going into Full Gear. He may be overlooking Cody heading into such a huge match. It was such an eventful night that you would think something was more of a Dynamite of the Night. But this instantly locked this up as soon as it aired. Well done. Enjoy:
