#AndNEW: The Von Erichs Capture Gold At MLW SuperFight

Von Erichs

At tonight’s historic first pay per view for Major League Wrestling, a show so big it had to be dubbed “SuperFight” a team donning the legendary Von Erich name, Ross and Marshall Von Erich defeated the now former tag champs, The Dynasty (MJF & Richard Holliday) to capture their first opportunity at gold.

The match itself was hard-hitting and impactful with The Dynasty nearly coming out on top, however, in the end, Marshall Von Erich caught Holliday with the famous claw, used by their dad, Kevin Von Erich during the heyday of the Von Erichs in Texas in such venues as the Sportatorium.

The Von Erichs signed with the company earlier this year and made their debut on June 1st, 2019 in Milwaukee, WI at FURY ROAD. They were soon involved in a heated rivalry with CONTRA and assisted Tom Lawlor to help take out the team in one of a few battles. They would later find themselves joining forces again with Tom Lawlor and an unlikely ally, Low Ki, to battle CONTRA at War Chamber back on September 7th. The match itself would air on BeIN and MLW’s youtube channel.

The Von Erichs began their careers back in 2012 and would find themselves working a majority of their careers in Pro Wrestling NOAH, working with such talent as Naomichi Marafuji, Super Crazy, Ricky Marvin, BRAVE, and many others. In 2014, the Von Erichs would make their debut with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling for one of the promotions biggest events of the year, Slammiversary, where they defeated the team of DJZ and Jessie Godderz. The event took place in Arlington, Texas and was a way to bring the nostalgia factor of the Von Erich name. What’s next for the new MLW tag champs? Will The Dynasty get a rematch with the new champs?
