Jorge Bolly (El Hijo Del Fantasma) Joins WWE Performance Center

On Thursday, WWE posted a picture of Jorge Bolly (formally known as El Hijo del Fantasma) officially joining their Performance Center on their website. The former Lucha Underground star (as King Cureno) and former AAA Lucha Libre talent was rumored for months to have signed with WWE.

The 35-year-old Mexican star who once worked with the Mexican government, is a former champion of AAA Lucha Libre, and has wrestled for 22 years. He began his career at only 13 years of age, a norm for Mexican wrestling. Jorge has wrestled in nearly 1,000 matches in his career and has wrestled for CMLL, AAA, Lucha Underground, IMPACT Wrestling, THE CRASH Lucha Libre and many other organizations throughout his career.

Jorge Luis Alcantar Bolly is a second-generation superstar and is the son of El Fantasma. Jorge has a degree in International Relations. Throughout his career, he’s always been known as El Hijo Del Fantasma and later, during the hit T.V. show Lucha Underground, was known as King Cuerno.

Jorge lost his mask on August 25, 2018, at AAA’s Triplemania XXVI when he lost in a four-way cage match against Psycho Clown, Pentagon Jr., and the legendary L.A. Park. Almost a year later, he would turn rudo (heel) and join Los Mercenarios in AAA Lucha Libre for a short while. Jorge recently finished all of his independent bookings in Mexico and signed with WWE on August 14th, 2019.

Jorge brings a seasoned and diverse background with his in-ring style, knowing how to work the authentic Lucha style, while also being able to adapt to the American style of wrestling. His character work was easily noticed during his work in Lucha Underground where he would feud with Mil Muertes for some time. Jorge is also known for having one of the most beautiful suicide dives in the game which he has showcased everywhere he goes. Let’s see what the future holds for this very talented Mexican star during his time with the WWE. He joins the rest of the most recent Performance Center class which includes Austin Theory and Santana Garrett.
