SummerSlam Preview: Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar

Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar

Seth Rollins will once again face off against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, in what will likely be the main event of the evening. In what will be their fourth singles meeting, The Beastslayer is looking to knock off his re-occurring adversary to claim the ‘Big Red Belt’ for the second time in his career. This long-running feud has taken place over several years now, with Rollins finally claiming his first pinfall victory over The Beast (and one of few over Lesnar recently, period) at Wrestlemania 35, becoming only the fifth man to do so since Lesnar’s 2012 return to WWE. Recently, this feud reignited when, at Extreme Rules 2019, Lesnar cashed in his recently won Money In The Bank briefcase on a drained Rollins, winning the belt back in a mere 16 seconds to close out the show.

After losing his title, Seth Rollins challenged Brock Lesnar to a rematch at SummerSlam, claiming that not only was he better than Brock Lesnar but that Brock Lesnar was a “Seth Rollins wannabe” on an episode of Miz TV. Lesnar, a man known to only show up when absolutely necessary, responded by doing the unthinkable. The angered beast made RAW appearances two weeks in a row to absolutely slaughter Seth Rollins all over the arena. The Mayor of Suplex City beat him so bad that Rollins’ status for SummerSlam was put in serious jeopardy. While Rollins has recently been cleared to compete at the event, the damage he suffered will likely be noticeable in his title rematch and could make him easy pickings for the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Will The Conqueror be able to achieve his 17th all-time successful defense of the Universal Championship, or will Cross-Fit Jesus be able to slay The Beast once more? Tune in to the 32nd annual Summerslam event to find out!
