In this week’s edition of The Road to All Out on All Elite Wrestling‘s YouTube channel, revealed the return of the Casino Battle Royale. At AEW Double or Nothing, the first Casino Battle Royale took place, where Adam “Hangman” Page won the opportunity for the first title shot against the soon to be crowned AEW World Heavyweight Champion. At AEW All Out, there will be a second Casino Battle Royale, with 21 entrants, with the winner become the #1 contender for the AEW Women’s Championship (which will be crowned on the debut broadcast of AEW on TNT).
With the casino themed battle royal, every entrant will select a card from the deck. The five women who draw a Hearts will be one group, all the Spades another, etc., until there are four teams of five women (Hearts, Spades, Clubs & Diamonds). The woman who draws the “Lucky 21” (Joker) Card, will enter the Battle Royal last, for a total of 21 entrants into the Battle Royal. As of the announcement, three women have been announced for the Casino Battle Royale at All Out.
TEAL PIPER
The first announced entrant is a second-generation wrestler who’s just entering the world of professional wrestling as a performer at the age of 34. But as the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Teal Piper has been inside the industry her whole life. As mentioned by Teal in the AEW video, her father was always worried about his family being involved in the same industry and professional as himself, but now that she’s older, Teal Piper has found a new love and respect for the industry that her father helped define. She’s been training this year for her debut, which will happen at AEW All Out this August 31.
IVELISSE
Ivelisse has been a regular on the US indie circuit for years now, including a nationally recognized run with Lucha Underground (which resulted in a messy divorce from the company earlier this year). She briefly worked in WWE’s developmental, with Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) and NXT as Sofia Cortez, after working her way from her native Puerto Rico scene (with World Wrestling Council) into the Chicago indies. Following her WWE departure, she’s become one of the faces of Shine Wrestling, where she’s a 2x Shine Champion, as well as working with SHIMMER, Defiant, Bar Wrestling, and more. She also recently had another WWE tryout.

JAZZ
The third and final name announced for the AEW All Out Casino Battle Royale is former 2x WWE Women’s Champion Jazz. After leaving WWE in 2006, Jazz remained on the independent scene for years, capturing the NWA World Women’s Championship in 2016 and holding it an astounding 948 days. She vacated the title this spring due to health and family issues but looks to be back to reclaim her legacy this August 31 at AEW All Out.
