#AndNEW: Takumi Iroha Wins Regina Di WAVE Championship

Takumi Iroha

Takumi Two Belts has captured her second title this year by winning the Catch The WAVE tournament to be crowned the new champion of the rebooted Pro Wrestling WAVE.

Pro Wrestling WAVE was set up in 2007 but in late 2018 it was announced that Phase 1 of WAVE was finished.  The company took a four-month break and came back with Phase 2 in April 2019 with a slightly adjusted roster but also no Champion as former champion Misaki Ohata retired.

WAVE’s annual Catch The WAVE tournament would now serve the purpose of crowning their new Regina Di WAVE champion.  After a grueling tournament, it was current Beyond The Sea champion Takumi Iroha that won the WAVE title for the second time.  Iroha beat Ryo Mizunami (of AEW fame) and Nagisa Nozaki in the final as she continues her fantastic 2019 which has seen her emerge as a star in the Joshi scene and not just in her home promotion of Marvelous.

With more and more interdependence between Joshi companies, it opens up opportunities for talent like Takumi Iroha and Sareeee to hold multiple titles spanning various partnered promotions.
