With former WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson now firmly entrenched in the Fast & Furious franchise and now branching out with his own spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, with Jason Statham, Vin Diesel will need to flesh out his crew for The Fast & The Furious 9. And it appears he’s once again diving into the WWE Universe for his next co-star, as he revealed on his Instagram in a tribute to the late Paul Walker, that “Pablo” (his nickname for Walker) had sent him the next person to “fight for truth”. As the camera panned over, it revealed John Cena standing next to the actor.

It would mark another great franchise for John Cena to find himself attached to, as he’s already joined the Transformers franchise, starting with last year’s Bumblebee spin-off, and is reportedly joining the DC Comics cinematic universe with James Gunn‘s Suicide Squad sequel, reportedly as the character The Peacemaker.
