Kid Lykos Retires

Kid Lykos has today announced his retirement from in ring competition at ATTACK! Pro Wrestling at their show Wednesday Night Wristlocks.  The CCK member was seemingly hurt recently during a tag team match against Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) and Team Whitewolf (A-Kid & Carlos Romo) at the Riptide Rumble which would be another in a long line of injuries for Lykos.  It would appear that he has decided to step away to avoid any more damage to his body at just 22 years old.

Lykos began his career back in 2011 mostly wrestling for Combat Sports Federation and made appearances on some of the early ATTACK! shows.  In 2014 he ditched the Lykos persona and began wrestling under the name Ethan Silver.  Silver was quickly climbing the UK indie scene ladder as his risk-taking and high flying abilities wowed crowds.

It was in 2016 that he formed the group known as CCK with Chris Brookes as the two captured tag team gold in ATTACK! twice and were putting on fantastic matches.  In 2017 the group’s popularity would see them blow up and become the hottest act in the UK scene debuting for PROGRESS WrestlingOver The Top Wrestling, Revolution Pro Wrestling and more as they won tag team gold almost everywhere they went.  This is also when the injury troubles started for Lykos as he would get hurt at OTT’s WrestleRama show against the Kings Of The North.  He missed the month of October with this issue but came back too quickly and wrestled again in November.  This led to him missing the first half of 2018 as he wouldn’t wrestle again until June 2018.

This would be the beginning of the end for Lykos as he was unable to stay healthy for long periods of time as he would be reinjured and miss most of Autumn 2018.  He missed February of 2019 and not long after his return from that he got hurt at Riptide.  It’s been an agonizing time for Lykos who just hasn’t been able to stay healthy and has continuously missed out on huge shows and big matches due to this.  Sometimes in wrestling, it’s just not meant to be and Lykos seems almost cursed at this stage, the UK scene will miss this wolf and forever remember the memories he created.
