Roddy Piper Immortalized As Newest WrestleMania Statue

At WWE Axxess on Thursday, the WWE unveiled its latest bronze statue, which has become an annual tradition over WrestleMania Week. Past statues have featured the likes of WWE Hall of Famers Andre the Giant, Bruno Sammartino, Ultimate Warrior, Dusty Rhodes and “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. At this year’s Axxess, the statue was unveiled to be “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Piper’s family was in attendance for the statue’s unveiling, alongside WWE Hall of Famers Ricky Steamboat, Brutus Beefcake, Sting and Jimmy Hart.

It was also revealed today that Piper would be the focus of a new documentary as part of a new deal with A&E Network to produce several biography documentaries on WWE Legends.
