A few months back, a fan created image (as seen above) went viral on Twitter, showing all four members of the WWE’s Four Horsewomen – Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks & Bayley – standing tall in the ring at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in the closing moment of WrestleMania 35, with all four holding all the titles. Becky Lynch holding the Raw Women’s Championship, Sasha Banks & Bayley holding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, and Charlotte Flair holding the SmackDown Women’s title. After Tuesday’s SmackDown Live, that picture just may have been the Nostradamus moment of wrestling Twitter.

In an unannounced and impromptu SmackDown Women’s Championship match, Charlotte Flair defeated her WrestleMania 34 opponent and reigning champ Asuka to win her third SmackDown Women’s title and eight WWE Women’s Championship (she’s also a 4x Raw Women’s Champion and the final Divas Champion). In doing so, Charlotte Flair surpassed Trish Stratus as the most decorated Women’s Champion in WWE history. Trish Stratus set the record with her seventh WWE Women’s Championship victory at WWE Unforgiven on September 17, 2006 in her hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Charlotte had previously tied that record when she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the second time on August 19 of last year at SummerSlam in New York City.
Should Sasha Banks & Bayley retain their tag team titles in the rumored title defense against Nia Jax & Tamina, The Iiconics (Billie Kay & Peyton Royce) and the recently reunited Divas of Doom (Beth Phoenix & Natalya) and Becky Lynch defeats Ronda Rousey, then that photo would quickly go from wishful thinking to an absolute reality. And with all four Four Horsewomen in the ring together – and the near year-long Social Media and on-screen feud between the various members of the NXT Horsewomen and Ronda’s MMA Four Horsewomen – that also features NXT Superstars Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir and NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler – then that Horsewomen feud that’s been teased for ages may become the summer’s hottest feud.
