#AndNEW: Young Lions Cup Masterpiece by Still Life With Apricots And Pears

At CHIKARA’s Young Lions Cup XV, a new cupholder was crowned. Still Life with Apricots and Pears is your new Young Lion’s Cup winner. The masterpiece created by them began in the Quarterfinals match in Stage One (Editor’s Note: The artiste known as Still Life with Apricots and Pears has stated they wish to be described by the plural pronouns them/they). They took on Davienne, Cam Carter, and DL Hurst. Cam Carter had been a favorite in the match as he had eliminated both Davienne and Hurst. Still Life was playing for the long game though and they selected their spots carefully. They sprang into action when it was down to just Still Life and Carter. Carter went for a running 450 splash, but Still Life moved and rolled him up for the win.

After the quarterfinals, Still Life was questioned about the whereabouts of their artist, BLANK. Still Life had no comment. In the semi-finals of the Young Lions Cup tournament, Still Life with Apricots and Pears took on ‘Tuff Stuff’ Ricky South. South was dominant early on, but once again Still Life proved his craftiness. They countered South’s attempt for a top rope piledriver with another magical roll-up. In the finals, Still Life with Apricots and Pears squared off with Boomer Hatfield. Boomer had hurt his knee, and this was the target for Still Life. In the end, it would be Boomer’s downfall as he passed out in the grapevine leglock.

Celebrating their great victory, Still Life with Apricots and Pears was about to give a post-match interview. They were interrupted by the artist, BLANK. BLANK seemed happy for his masterpiece at first but brought up the loss to Penelope Ford. BLANK declared that Still Life with Apricots and Pears was no longer his magnum opus, despite the Young Lions Cup victory. The volatile artist stormed away, leaving Still Life with Apricots and Pears with the Young Lions Cup. Where they go from here, is unsure. But what is sure is that the Young Lions Cup will be with them.
