#AndNEW: Rory Coyle Wins Defiant World Championship

Defiant Wrestling made their Sunderland debut last night for the Magnificent Seven iPPV, a night that ended in shocking fashion. Rampage‘s 322 day reign as the Defiant World Champion has come to an end as he was finally defeated at the hands of Rory Coyle in the main event.

The referee was taken out towards the end of the match, allowing The Last True Sick Boy to use all sorts of weapons to inflict pain upon Rampage. A VHS tape, a prosthetic arm, a briefcase. They don’t call him sick for nothing. A second referee entered later on in an attempt to remove the handcuffs from Rampage, but he found himself being choked out with some jumper cables. Following a DDT on a briefcase, Rampage was no longer able to call himself the Defiant Wrestling World Champion as The Sick Boy stood tall to close the show.

In other notable happenings from the event, Benji last eliminated Maxwell Jacob Friedman to win the annual Magnificent Seven Match, Martin Kirby retained his Internet Championship over Bullet Club’s El Phantasmo, Joe Hendry and Gabriel Kidd‘s match ended in a 20 minute time limit draw, and Simon Miller came to the aid of the timekeeper as he was being attacked by John Klinger, only to be brutally beaten down himself. The assistant general manager is still suffering from a shoulder injury that has left him sidelined since July, an injury that has likely worsened following this attack.
