AAA/Lucha Underground’s Aero Star Confirmed For IMPACT in Mexico (And Maybe Daga?)

Today on his personal Twitter account, Mexican sensation Aero Star announced he will once again be taking part in IMPACT Wrestling TV tapings in Mexico, when IMPACT returns to Mexico to tape more episodes this coming weekend.

Aero Star is a 16-year veteran of AAA in Mexico, debuting in 2003 at the age of 19, where he won the AAA World Tag Team titles alongside Drago. While a star in Mexico, he didn’t grab international attention until he joined the cast of Lucha Underground in 2014, where won the LU Trios Championship alongside Drago and Fenix. Last year, he and Drago debuted with IMPACT in the April TV tapings following their appearance on the IMPACT vs. Lucha Underground show on WrestleMania weekend.

While Aero Star has confirmed his return to IMPACT Wrestling, another Mexican star breaking out from Mexico teased he may also be appearing for IMPACT this weekend. On January 7, Daga tweeted a sly comment that seemed to insinuate an appearance with IMPACT may be on the horizon.

Daga is an 11-year veteran of the business, debuting in 2008, and the 30-year old has emerged as one of Mexico’s top wrestlers. He worked for AAA from 2011 to 2016, before departing to begin working for rival The Crash Lucha Libre (which he current books for), as well as take a stab at the US indies, working with All American Wrestling (AAW), PCW ULTRA, Wrestling Revolver and Aro Lucha. He also made a few appearances on Lucha Underground in Season Two, before joining The Reptile Tribe in Season Four. He’s also worked for Dragon Gate in Japan last year and made his debut with Major League Wrestling (MLW) this past October. Daga is also dating former IMPACT Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard.
