Hurricane Helms & Cody Hall Get Into “Lame” Fight…Over Superheroes

Social Media, particularly Twitter, has become a necessary platform for many wrestlers to advance feuds, establish character, and prolong narratives. While some, like former WWE Superstar and current Lucha Underground star Paul London, aren’t down with it. But on Tuesday, former WWE Superstar Hurricane Helms got into a bit of a beef with the son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall and former NJPW wrestler Cody Hall…over superheroes. And what started as a harmless joke turned personal. With Cody calling Helms out over a paid lunch and seemingly not helping the junior “Bad Guy” early in his career. And a day removed from the death of Marvel Comics icon and comic books legend Stan Lee, Cody Hall decided to profess his disdain for superheroes.

What started as a simple question from Cody turned into something much deeper. And from a harmless reply from one of wrestling’s superheroes.

And that’s when it went off the rails.

And just when it seemed like the argument was over, Cody decided to post the DMs he’d previously mentioned, showing Helms clearly baffled how the conversation had got so heated, and seemingly over old feelings of resentment the younger Hall had held onto for years.

This, of course, drew Helms back into the fray, albeit momentarily.

Fightful.com‘s Sean Ross Sapp pointed out that Hurricane has hardly been missing out on the paydays this year…
