Bullet Club Is Fine?: Omega Comments, New Being The Elite Released

The wrestling world was stunned on Sunday, long before the first Women’s Royal Rumble even took place. At NJPW The New Beginning in Sapporo, Night 2, Bullet Club‘s Cody Rhodes turned on de facto leader Kenny Omega and delivered a Crossrhodes on Omega, shortly after he’d lost the IWGP United States Championship to “Switchblade” Jay White. Following the loss, Omega brushed off fellow Bullet Club and Being The Elite cast member “Hangman” Adam Page, who wanted to step up to challenge White for the IWGP US title, then apparently knocked down Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks. When things looked to have settled, Cody shocked the Bullet Club and those watching with the Crossrhodes, then was about to hit Omega with a chair (with Kenny being held by Page), before Kota Ibushi made the save for his former partner in The Golden Lovers.

Early Monday morning (Japanese time), Omega talked to Tokyo Sports to give his first statement since the backstabbing from his own teammates.

With so many questions whether Kenny Omega is still in the Bullet Club after the attempted chair shot (which was staged similar to the way past leaders of Bullet Club like Finn Balor, AJ Styles and Adam Cole have been ceremoniously beaten out of the Club), but one thing is obvious – Omega has realigned with his former partner, Kota Ibushi.

Earlier this evening, Cody Rhodes released a brand new edition of Being The Elitethe online reality show that follows the storyline surrounding the BTE cast of Bullet Club – Omega, Young Bucks, Cody, Hangman and “The Villain” Marty Scurll – that showed the entire story leading up to Sunday’s New Beginning in Sapporo, Night 2.

The episode follows the past week of the crew’s life, as they first travel to Japan in preparation, then the nights leading up to the event. Omega seems distant to not only his best friends, The Young Bucks, but the others as well, before finally admitting to Matt Jackson on Friday before Night 1 that he has his reservations about Cody being in the Club. Omega’s mind seems elsewhere, and after Sunday, it appears it was on his former partner. Jackson inadvertently brings up that Bullet Club never had such dissension when Fergal (Balor) or AJ were leading them, which of course upset Omega further.

Cutting to after the events of The New Beginning in Sapporo Night 2, Cody tries to re-rally the troops, proving his actions were justified and that not to worry, “Bullet Club is fine.” The episode ends with Omega showing up at the Young Bucks hotel room in Japan, with Ibushi at his side.

Is Omega done with Bullet Club? Is Ibushi being brought into Bullet Club? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
